A region is an area of the map you can expand into that has a resource node and a settlement with businesses

Time to expand

 

  • When you have sufficient funds it's time to expand into new regions
  • Some regions offer new resources you have not unlocked yet
    • Copper, Sand, Stone
  • A region comes with a settlement and one ore more businesses
  • You will eventually need to expand into other regions when your resources deposits are exhausted
    • Don't leave this until the last minute
  • The cost of expanding into regions increases over time
