- Refit cargo allows you to designate a vehicle/train for multiple purposes
- The following example demonstrates how a train is used to transport iron ore and copper ore using the refit cargo option
- In the screenshot above there is an iron deposit to the left
- The Eaglehawk Neck settlement has both iron and copper businesses
- In the screenshot above at a not-far-away location:
- Narooma with Iron business
- Copper ore deposit to the right
- Begin creating the route for the the train by adding a slot and selecting the train station at the iron deposit
- Select Load as the operation
- Once the load has been added, underneath click Add Order
- Select Refit
- I want the refit operation to be the order performed before the load
- Click the three horizontal bars to the right of the refit order
- Drag it above the Load order
- It's also good to define the cargo type
- Click the wand icon on the refit order
- Click the iron ore icon
- Add a stop to unload at Eaglehawk Neck
- Add another load operation for iron ore at the deposit
- Unload the iron at Narooma West (on the left)
- Add a Load operation for the Narooma South copper deposit (on right)
- Add a Refit order
- Change the cargo type to copper
- Move the Refit order so it appears at the top
- Back at Eaglehawk Neck add an unload operation
- Final step is to save the route with a meaningful name
