Refit Cargo

Refit cargo allows you to designate a vehicle/train for multiple purposes

  • Refit cargo allows you to designate a vehicle/train for multiple purposes
  • The following example demonstrates how a train is used to transport iron ore and copper ore using the refit cargo option

 

Iron deposit and Eaglehawk Neck has both iron and copper businesses

 

  • In the screenshot above there is an iron deposit to the left
  • The Eaglehawk Neck settlement has both iron and copper businesses

 

Narooma with Iron business and copper ore deposit to the right

 

  • In the screenshot above at a not-far-away location:
    • Narooma with Iron business
    • Copper ore deposit to the right

 

Starting the route

 

  • Begin creating the route for the the train by adding a slot and selecting the train station at the iron deposit

 

Select Load operation

 

  • Select Load as the operation

 

Add Refit order

 

  • Once the load has been added, underneath click Add Order
  • Select Refit

 

Select the refit row on the right
Drag it above the load order

 

  • I want the refit operation to be the order performed before the load
  • Click the three horizontal bars to the right of the refit order
  • Drag it above the Load order

 

Select the cargo type

 

  • It's also good to define the cargo type
  • Click the wand icon on the refit order
  • Click the iron ore icon

 

Add an unload stop

 

  • Add a stop to unload at Eaglehawk Neck

 

Add another load operation

 

  • Add another load operation for iron ore at the deposit

 

Unload at the other location

 

  • Unload the iron at Narooma West (on the left)

 

Create a load operation at the Copper deposit

 

  • Add a Load operation for the Narooma South copper deposit (on right)

 

Add a refit order
Change the cargo type to copper

 

  • Add a Refit order
  • Change the cargo type to copper

 

Move the refit to the top

 

  • Move the Refit order so it appears at the top

 

Unload the copper

 

  • Back at Eaglehawk Neck add an unload operation

 

Save the route

 

  • Final step is to save the route with a meaningful name
